Wendie Discher is a professor, author, clinician, wife, mother, and proud Nana to her grandchildren, as well as one of the voices behind Ages & Stages, a podcast dedicated to honest conversations about womanhood through every season of life. With more than 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, Dr. Discher brings both professional insight and genuine compassion to the conversations that matter most.
Wendie earned both her Master’s and PhD in Clinical Psychology and has devoted her career to advancing mental health through clinical practice, higher education, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has facilitated workshops and trainings focused on stress reduction, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, emotional resilience, preventative mental health care, and body–mind wellness.
As a woman who understands the many roles and responsibilities women carry throughout life, Wendie brings both professional expertise and personal perspective to the podcast. Her experiences as a clinician, educator, wife, mother, and Nana shape the compassionate and authentic conversations at the heart of Ages & Stages.
Dr. Discher currently lives in rural Minnesota with her husband, where she owns and operates her mental health clinic, continuing her commitment to serving individuals and families with dedication, empathy, and care.
